Troop 754 History

In 1972, 6 boys sat down & created the bylaws of what would become Boy Scout Troop 754 in Newbury Park, California.

At these initial founding meetings, the boys designed the Troop neckerchief. It is red, white, & blue with an American flag sewn on it. This design was selected out of patriotism & love for our country. In our Troop, it is tradition that no Scout may own his neckerchief until he earns the rank of Eagle Scout. Until that time, the neckerchief is merely on loan. It is also our tradition that each neckerchief be handmade by dedicated members of our Troop.

In 2012, the Troop celebrated its 40th anniversary. It was wonderful to have many of our past Scouts, Scouters, & Scoutmasters attend. It was also fun to relive old stories & memories that were shared by many that attended. Please press play to relive 40 years of our Troop’s memories. We hope you enjoy it!
