TROOP 754

Newbury Park, CA

Welcome to Troop 754

In 1972, six boys sat down & created the bylaws of Boy Scout Troop 754 in Newbury Park, California. At these founding meetings, the boys designed the Troop neckerchief. It is red, white, & blue with an American flag proudly sewn on it. In our Troop, it is tradition that no Scout may own his Troop neckerchief until he earns the rank of Eagle Scout. Until that time, the neckerchief is merely on loan.

Today, Troop 754 is a boy-led Troop with activities that emphasize & develop Character, Leadership, & Service. We have a highly diverse troop where all faiths are welcome.

We meet Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the First Christian Church (801 Knollwood Drive, Newbury Park). The first Tuesday of the month is the Troop Patrol Leader Council meeting (or PLC) & only members of the PLC need to attend. The Troop’s PLC plans a variety of adventures each year that often include winter camping, desert camping, backpacking, canoeing, pioneering, week-long summer camps, deep sea fishing, day hikes, & the fellowship of outdoor fun.

If you would like to learn more about the Troop, please complete this Scoutmaster Contact Form. We look forward to hearing from you.
